Kilkenny’s fire station was the setting for the launch of the Irish Association of Supported Employment (IASE) National Supported Employment Week which took place this month along with the Job Shadow initiative 2011.

Mayor Malcolm Noonan along with some of the supported employment services in Kilkenny (Access Supported Employment Service and Kases), hosted an Employers’ Breakfast in the Town Hall to acknowledge and thank the many employers in Kilkenny/Carlow who work in partnership with the supported employment services for people with disabilities.

A national job shadowing day has been launched in order to integrate people with disabilities into the working environment.
